Back-to-school support for parents: Helping your child thrive this year.

Are you ready for this? The start of a new school year is exciting – but it can bring hidden challenges. Maybe your child is feeling anxious about new classes, struggling to keep up with the workload, or having trouble making friends.

At ROWI Teen & Parent Wellness Centers, we see it all the time. We know it’s not easy to recognize when these bumps are just part of the adjustment period, or when they’re signs your child needs more support.

We help kids ages 8-17 through these moments. Our team works with families every day to identify what’s really going on and provide the tools, strategies, and support kids need to feel more confident and capable – both at school and at home.

Signs your child may need extra help

  • Difficulty transitioning back to school: Missing school days, frequent stomachaches, or ongoing resistance to going back.
  • Struggles that go beyond weekly therapy: If your child is already seeing a therapist but still having a hard time, they may benefit from more intensive care.
  • Learning or attention challenges: We provide mental health support to kids diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, or Learning Differences. Ask us about psychological testing if a diagnosis is needed.

How ROWI supports your family

Our programs are built for real family life – not just the classroom. We offer intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs designed for kids and teens, with nearly one-to-one staff-to-student support.

Parents are included in the process through family therapy, coaching, and education, because we know lasting change happens when the whole family is involved.

We go beyond talk therapy by incorporating evidence-based methods (CBT, DBT, family therapy) along with creative and physical outlets such as art, music, mindfulness, yoga, and fitness. This approach helps kids not only stabilize, but also discover new ways to thrive.

A strong start for the school year

This school year, give your child the support they need to feel confident in the classroom, on the playing field, and at home. Whether they need help overcoming anxiety, building social skills, or managing stress, ROWI can walk with you every step of the way.

Because when your child feels better, the whole family wins.
